CEVA adds RealVideo, VC-1 to its media platform

DSP DesignLine

SAN JOSE, Calif. – CEVA today announced the addition of RealVideo and VC-1 software to its MM2000 programmable mobile multimedia platform. These new video codecs add to the MM2000's existing support for video standards including H.264, H.263, MPEG-4 and DivX.

The MM2000 features a single CEVA-X DSP core without any accelerators or dedicated engines for video processing. This design enables the MM2000 to support new video codecs by means of a firmware upgrade. In addition, the general purpose open DSP core at the heart of the MM2000 enables designers to integrate extra functionality in addition to video. For example, the MM2000 can support audio, voice, Bluetooth, GPS, or cellular baseband functionality.

CEVA will be demonstrating Mobile-Media multi-standard video support, including RealVideo and VC-1, at Mobile World Congress 2008. CEVA is located at Booth 2F07 in Hall 2. For more information, contact info@ceva-dsp.com.
