SAN JOSE, Calif– IP communications provider D2 Technologies has unveiled a joint Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) solution at Spring VON.x 2008. This integrated offering combines D2's newly enhanced vPort embedded software with Voice Call Continuity (VCC) and Comdasys' client server FMC technology to give enterprise users continuous access and availability across the full range of CDMA, GSM, GPRS, 3G UMTS or WiFi networks.

The Comdasys FMC solution consists of the Comdasys FMC Controller and FMC Client, extending the telephony features of PBXs and soft switches to dual-mode devices, providing the lowest cost routing and seamless call handover from GSM/CDMA/UMTS to WiFi networks. The Comdasys FMC Controller is an all-in-one network appliance and includes a Multiservice Router, a Session Border Controller with security enhancements, QoS and FMC voice applications. The FMC Client is a software module that integrates into dual-mode devices and works with the Comdasys FMC Server to give users access to available FMC features and services.
